Designed for secondary schools, this is a school programme suitable for a class size of 10-12 individuals. The course is set over six lessons (two hours each), with at least one of these taking place at the SCMP office.
This interactive course aims to immerse participants in the world of broadcast journalism and includes a tour of a working newsroom at SCMP. At the end of this programme, students will leave with their very own recording of themselves as a news anchor, filmed in our dedicated SCMP studio.

Led by a professional anchor and trainer, this popular programme equips participants with the skills and confidence to effectively present and speak to an audience. Covering everything from clear English pronunciation to optimal body language and voice projection techniques, the course offers a comprehensive lesson in the art of communication and English proficiency.
Participants will also get to discover the role of data analysis in developing credible news reports, leveraging both qualitative and quantitative research methods to make their case, in addition to practicing script writing skills. What's more, they'll have the opportunity to cultivate collaborative skills through group exercises and role play, whilst simultaneously honing their understanding of social issues through journalism.
