Organised by SCMP Learn, and presented by The Shaw Prize Foundation and Hong Kong Science Museum, this student engagement programme offers a unique chance to meet the esteemed Shaw Laureates, distinguished for their groundbreaking contributions to Astronomy, Life Science and Medicine, or Mathematical Sciences.
Comprising three parts, the initiative starts with an online English journalistic writing workshop curated by SCMP and aimed at equipping students with essential interview techniques to help them engage with the Laureates in person.
On the day of the award presentation ceremony, students will be grouped based on interests to actively participate in discussions with the Shaw Laureates. This interactive session promises valuable insights into the Laureates' work and their profound influence on the broader world.
Finally, students must submit a 250-word post-event reflection, capturing their insights, emotions, and newfound perspectives, featuring photos taken during the event. The top three articles will be published in Young Post.
This programme is open to 45 students. See below for details on how to apply.
